Job Summary:

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator that is looking to gain experience in a global start up. This individual should describe themselves as a self-starter, detailed oriented, team player that wants to grow in a fast paced environment that is both rewarding and fun.

As the logistics coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that the overall supply chain runs smoothly in North America. You will work cross-functionally with the Sales, Merchandising, and Finance teams across the world to undertake demand planning, manage inventory and fulfill orders to major big box retailers across North America. You will be accountable for maintaining accurate records, pulling reports, and implementing cost savings strategies across our logistics operations. Above all, you will take ownership of your work, bring an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to grow personally and professionally.

What you will be doing

  • Work with existing logistics partners (3PL and freight) to ensure shipments are handled properly and delivery timelines are met
  • Manage multiple online portals to accept orders, submit ASN’s, and ensure individual vendor routing processes are executed properly
  • Issue invoices to vendors and partners and reconcile outstanding account balances
  • Assist in completing and updating vendor setups, ensuring accuracy in uploaded content
  • Provide support with analytical activities to identifying cost and time saving opportunities related to logistics operations
  • Optimize the company’s supply chain operations and negotiate pricing and charges with carriers
  • Handle all courier shipments in/out of the office (UPS, FedEX, CanPost, etc.)
  • Report directly to the Director of Business Development in North America

What will set you apart

  • Previous experience in supply chain management
  • Previous use and knowledge of WMS, EDI, and Merchandising systems
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and running analysis
  • Understanding of basic A/P and A/R process

What we are looking for

  • A post-secondary education in a Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management or related program
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Prior Transportation Industry and/or Logistics experience is an asset, but not a must
  • Has strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize various
  • Attention to detail and can effectively problem solve complicated situations
  • Is flexible, adaptable and a good team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English
