We are looking for a Brand Community Coordinator to join us and become the brand advocate to our online community, and help us manage and grow brand awareness, brand loyalty, and build a strong community of people who love our brand. Our community is made up of passionate tech lovers, gamers, lighting décor enthusiasts and people who love to create crazy cool things. As the Brand Community Coordinator, you will work within the Marketing team, reporting to the Content & Community Lead.

You will proactively engage with our existing enthusiastic community to promote a positive image of Nanoleaf, strategize new ways to expand our brand reach and brand loyalty, grow our community, think of ways to increase engagement, collect, organize and summarize trends from the community and useful data to help guide marketing initiatives and content creation. You will be the main advocate of our brand image and brand personality/voice to our community. You need to be responsible for your own work with strong organizational skills to thrive in this role. About the Role:

As the Brand Community Coordinator, you will focus on the following areas:

Community Growth

  • Actively strategize to grow our social media following, customer satisfaction and engagement.
  • Actively find ways to extend and promote our brand voice and personality in a fun and relevant way beyond replying to comments/DMs on our own pages.

Content Strategy and Execution

  • Collect, organize and summarize intel on a daily basis around who our customers are, what do they like/dislike/what to see more of/have questions about/general feedback, etc., and provide these insights to the marketing team.
  • Be the source to provide customer personas based on information gathered from the community, including details and info regarding who our engaged followers are to help guide the Content & Community team on the overall and on-going content strategy.
  • Identify latest pop culture and social media trends for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitter to provide insights and provide a report to the team for content planning.
  • Take frequently asked questions from the community to guide blog topics and generate interesting and engaging blog posts.
  • Brainstorm relevant video / social media post / blog posts ideas that would help to drive brand engagement / loyalty / conversion. 

Community Maintenance

  • Answering all DMs/comments/questions in a timely fashion across Nanoleaf’s various social platforms using the correct tone, style and consistency as outlined in our branding guidelines.
  • Sharing and commenting on posts from the community on a daily basis. 
  • Answering all retail reviews and questions across various retailers.
  • Coordinating marketing affiliates program.
  • Social media never sleeps, must be open to sharing tagged posts over the weekend to keep feed engaging.

About You:

  • Relevant degree/diploma/certificate in marketing or branding (preferred) 
  • 2+ years of related work experience (preferred) 
  • Proficient with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, Reddit, Discord, TikTok, Linkedin, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with great organizational skills is a must to thrive in this role
  • Have a firm understanding of marketing and branding concepts to know how to effectively promote the brand and marketing initiatives
  • Strong writing and communication skills, especially ability to write in the correct brand tone and to think and write creatively
  • Interested in social media and video content strategy
  • Ability to gather and compile data and translate into meaningful intel for the team
  • Excellent customer service, people and sales skills
  • Self-starter attitude, reliability, discretion and ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • This is an entry-level role with lots of opportunity to grow, remuneration will be discussed during the interview process
  • This role will require you to on occasion, work collaboratively in the office (Toronto HQ)

Bonus Points If You…

  • Have run and managed your own social media account, or have had experience with blog writing
  • Understand smart home and smart technology 
  • Have experience with PC or Console gaming
